Petrographic analysis is the science and utilization of polarized-light microscopy to determine the mineralogy, micro-structures, and textural aspects of rocks, cement, and pottery in thin section.  Once upscaled and correlated it validates petrophysical analyses, improves well or completion designs. Paragenetic histories may identify diagenetic mechanisms that improve or hinder prospect economics. 

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is capable of detecting any element on the periodic table within certain detection limits. With calibration to known standards the concentration within a an earth material can be determined.

Brines are an expanding critical minerals resource, particularly concerning lithium. Exploration is underway for this resource in oil fields, geothermal systems, and close sedimentary basins. Our analysis will provide a full suite of dissolved elements in your brines using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy.
